Pacific Communities homeowners are still content with their house and community after four-years

Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Valerie Taylor fondly remembers the night when she and her husband Barry picked out their floor plan at Pacific Etiwanda. They were sitting in their car, parked right outside the sales office, the night before the community’s initial phase release. The couple was determined to be one of the very first buyers at Pacific Etiwanda, a neighborhood by Pacific Communities.

“We spent the night in the parking lot so we could get the house we wanted,” said Valerie, laughing at the recollection. “But going over the brochure and floor plans that night in the parking lot, we changed our minds. We chose a different house.”

Valerie and Barry bought their Plan 2 home from Pacific Etiwanda’s Vineyard Series in 2001. After looking at other communities, Valerie and Barry were drawn to Pacific Etiwanda because of the spacious floor plans, the value and the location.

Joining Valerie and Barry in the then brand-new community was Valerie’s niece and her niece’s fiancé. “They asked our advice on where we were buying,” Valerie said. Her recommendation of Pacific Etiwanda led the engaged couple to join Valerie and Barry’s parking lot campout. The next day, they bought their first home, where they still happily reside, from Pacific Etiwanda’s Meadows Series.

Valerie and Barry knew they could count on Pacific Communities to build them a quality home. “I was familiar with them as a builder,” said Valerie, who sold homes for Pacific Communities for about two years in the mid-1990s. “I knew we’d get a good home.”

Pacific Communities builds homes throughout the Inland Empire, Antelope Valley and beyond. The builder creates homes that are intelligently designed and solidly built and that offer lasting consumer satisfaction. Thanks to the builder’s “smart-by-design” philosophy, homes by Pacific Communities have more usable space than homes by other builders with the same square footage.

Valerie and Barry particularly enjoy the spaciousness and usefulness of their family room and kitchen area. The two rooms flow effortlessly into one another. “It is very, very open and has a huge island and access to the backyard through French doors,” said Valerie, describing the space. The family room and kitchen area is perfect for entertaining. “We are always having a lot of people over,” Valerie added.

In every neighborhood they build, Pacific Communities offers buyers a host of popular options to ensure that each home is perfectly suited to the owners. “We didn’t have to go someplace else for the options,” said Valerie, explaining yet another reason why she and Barry bought a Pacific Communities home. She describes their experience with the builder’s home customizing and buying process as “very seamless”.

Valerie and Barry enjoy a little more than 2,800 square feet of living space in their Pacific Communities home, which has three bedrooms and three baths. The couple chose a home with a three-car garage. The downstairs den, which could have become an optional bedroom, serves as an office. Valerie and Barry both work from home. In addition, the couple chose to convert an upstairs bedroom into an inviting master suite retreat.

Since Valerie and Barry bought their Pacific Etiwanda home, their son Christopher, now 20, and daughter Michelle, now 23, have both moved out. “As empty nesters, we are deciding what to do with all the space,” Valerie said. The couple envisions an upstairs game room in Christopher’s former space, a huge room that they optioned to convert from a bonus room into a single bedroom.

Amongst the numerous modern amenities that Pacific Communities offers in every home, Valerie mentions the fireplace in the family room as a favorite. She says the couple’s dog, Seneca, is “a permanent fixture” in front of the fireplace in winter. “She just sits and stares into the fireplace even if there’s no fire going,” said Valerie with a laugh.

After four years in their Pacific Communities home, Valerie and Barry are still content with their house and community. Valerie notes that Rancho Cucamonga is now a bigger metropolis but that the growth hasn’t detracted from the city’s appeal. “We’ve met some good people,” Valerie said. “We’ve made lifelong friends.”

Pacific Communities is currently selling homes at several new communities. For more information about the builder and available communities, join the interest list.
